Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and dedication to increasing South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) companies for the duration of an engagement using the company's senior professionals in a strategic arranging session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled while in the 2024 matric exams.
On the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% in the registered pupils from the training sector.
These learners realized a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This means that the expenditure national government is creating inside the life of inadequate and vulnerable young children is yielding a good influence in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe said.
Reflecting on recent achievements, the Minister highlighted critical milestones and ongoing priorities. She devoted to urgently addressing The difficulty of everlasting leadership appointments and the lack of personnel at most community workplaces.
Moreover, the Minister highlighted the need for Group-based engagements and outreach functions.
